Carlton Oaks
Greenbriar developed the Carlton Oaks community from 2004 to 2006. The luxurious neighborhood of Carlton Oaks is off Bernal Avenue, near Foothill Road. This gives the residents of the community easy access to downtown Pleasanton through I680.
The homes in Carlton Oaks have floor plans that range in size from 3200 sq. ft. to about 3600 sq. ft. Lots of these houses are 6000 sq. ft. Some of the model houses have a guest suite situated above the garage. Although the lots in Carlton Oaks are smaller that those of the surrounding neighborhoods, they are still luxurious and classy. Homes are designed to have multiple rooms, large custom quality kitchens, luxurious baths and high ceilings. Most houses have a view of the surrounding hills and the Pleasanton Ridge. Exteriors of the houses have different styles, which gives the neighborhood of Carlton Oaks a custom look and feel. This neighborhood does not have a homeowner’s association.
Near the Carlton Oaks community lies a large city park, Fawn Hills. Residents of Carlton Oaks and nearby neighborhoods can go to Fawn Hills and hike up the Marilyn Murphy Kane Trail that will lead them to a scenic creek where residents and visitors can have picnics and do other activities. The neighborhood’s location is also ideal to families with children as there is easy access to the community’s elementary and middle schools.
Carlton Oaks School Information
Residents of Carlton Oaks can send their children to the elementary school, middle school and high school near their area. Hearst Elementary School
Hearst Elementary School has been open since 2003 and has then been providing education to students in Kindergarten up to the fifth grade. The school houses a staff of 65 and serves more than 700 students each school year. Excellent instructors at the school have designed a program that exemplifies high academic standards. The programs attend to the students’ needs and help them develop mentally, emotionally and socially. To meet the demands of the times, instructors use technology as a mode of instruction and communication.
Pleasanton Middle School
Pleasanton Middle School serves residents of the East Bay community. The school has more than 1100 enrollees each school year. The mission of the school is to understand and cater to the needs of each student as an individual. Academic programs of Pleasanton Middle School are based on California State standards. One of the things that set apart Pleasanton Middle School from other middle schools is that they have Moodle and Zangle programs. Moodle and Zangle programs allow the students and parents to interact with their instructors and other peers through a website. This is for instructors to assess and check the progress of students.
Foothill High School
Foothill High School is located right at the foothills of Pleasanton. The high school has received many awards and recognitions, some of which include the California Distinguished School in 2004 and the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2006. Foothill High School has around 2300 enrollees every school year. The student-centered school provides excellent academic programs, co-curricular programs and athletic programs to hone social skills and talents of the students.
