Del Prado
Del Prado, one of the older neighborhoods in the Pleasanton area, lies on the border of Valley Avenue just south of Hopyard Road and Black Avenue. Three different builders–Mc Kay Homes, Singer Homes and Dietz Crane–built the area between 1968 to 1977.
Homes in Del Prado vary in size, offering three- to five-bedroom homes with floor plans of 1370 to 2500 square feet. Lots boast wide open spaces and areas that range from 6500 to 9000 square feet. Typically single-story homes, these residences have garages that can accommodate two cars. Some homes offer fantastic views of Pleasanton Ridge, making this neighborhood one of the most sought-after communities among home buyers. Houses in Del Prado cost anywhere from $600,000 to $850,000.
The central location of Del Prado proves convenient for residents because it lies near elementary and middle schools in the area as well as downtown Pleasanton. Commuters enjoy easy access to freeways, and some areas in Del Prado are part of the Del Prado Community Pool and Cabana. Residents have access to the clubhouse, pool and spa facilities.

Walnut Grove Elementary School
Walnut Grove Elementary School lies just east of San Francisco Bay and enjoys its reputation as one of California’s most highly regarded elementary schools. Walnut Grove Elementary School employs a rigorous curriculum to challenge students and sets a benchmark for each grade level.
Harvest Park Middle School
Harvest Park Middle School, a child-centered middle school serving students in sixth through eighth grades, enjoys recognition from various organizations for having excellent faculty and staff, comprehensive educational programs, co-curricular programs and support services. Harvest Park Middle School’s honors include recognition as a National School of Character in 2005, a National Blue Ribbon School in 2002 and a California Distinguished School in 1994 and in 2001.
Foothill High School
Foothill High School, one of two high schools in the Pleasanton area, opened in 1973 and serves approximately 2300 students annually. Offering a student-centered environment, the school has strong athletic and co-curricular programs as well as academic programs that provide holistic education. Foothill High School has California Distinguished School and National Blue Ribbon School nominee status.
Amador Valley High School
Amador Valley High School serves about 2600 students each school year and employs a curriculum designed to meet the needs of all students. The high school has received numerous recognitions, such as the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, National School of Character and the California Distinguished School status, among others.
