Fairlands Terrace and Pheasant Crossing
Fairlands Terrace and Pheasant Crossing are two neighborhoods in eastern Pleasanton at the end of West Las Positas Boulevard and developed in the late 1980s by Dietz Construction and Castle Construction respectively. Most homes in both neighborhoods have a similar style, although some in Pheasant Crossing have a Tudor style.
In these neighborhoods the floor areas range from 1500 to 2500 square feet on lots ranging in size from 6000 to 8000 square feet or more. Homes typically have three to five bedrooms and feature garages that can accommodate two or three cars.
Residents in these areas find it easy to access the elementary school in the area, and some streets have a greenbelt in order for students to access the school without having to pass across the streets. Fairlands Terrace and Pheasant Crossing lie close to Meadows Park, one of the largest neighborhood parks in the Pleasanton area. In addition to this, commuters have easy access to I-580 and the BART. Neither neighborhood has a homeowner’s association.

Residents of these neighborhoods can send their children to the elementary, middle and high schools near the area in Pleasanton Unified School District.
Fairlands Elementary School
Fairlands Elementary School educates students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Instructors train students to appreciate learning at a young age in order for them to be ready for middle school. Fairlands Elementary School’s curriculum follows state and district standards. Fairlands Elementary School also gives importance to character education and ensures students grow into responsible, compassionate, self-disciplined, honest and respectful citizens.
Hart Middle School
Hart Middle School, a California Distinguished school, has state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities. The school sits in Hacienda Business Park and has facilities that include sports fields, a gymnasium, benches and picnic tables. Hart Middle School’s staff commits to providing an environment where students can demonstrate responsibility and have respect for others in a diverse society. Students, parents and teachers collaborate in order to prepare students for lives in the 21st century.
Amador Valley High School
Amador Valley High School serves approximately 2600 students each school year and has received many recognitions and awards for its academic programs, athletic programs and co-curricular activities. Students at Amador can develp and improve their technological skills through art multimedia computers, computer labs and mobile laptop carts. Recognition Amador Valley High School has received include National Blue Ribbon, National School of Character, California Distinguished School and California Golden Bell Award status, among others.
Foothill High School
Foothill High School, a National Blue Ribbon School, educates approximately 2300 students each school year. Apart from academic programs, Foothill High School also offers other programs and co-curricular activities such as Japanese, technical English, video production and more. Instructors find new teaching strategies in order to push students to succeed in their goals. The high school, which sits at the foothills of Pleasanton, creates a student-centered environment.
