Foothill Knolls

Foothill Knolls, an upscale neighborhood built in the late 1980s, sits along Foothill Road. Most of the houses in the community have vaulted ceilings, two fireplaces and luxurious master bedroom suites. These houses range in floor area from 2060 sq. ft. to 3000 sq. ft. with lots that range from a fourth of an acre to half an acre.

Aside from these ready-made homes, there are also custom homes near the entrance of Foothill Knolls. Homes at this neighborhood range in price from $900,000 to around $1,300,000. The homeowner’s association of Foothill Knolls covers entrance to the development and other common areas.
Foothill Knolls is one of the most sought after choices when buying a home at Pleasanton as most of the houses have spectacular views of the Pleasanton Ridge. A walnut orchard on one side and a community park on the other side also surround it. Lydiksen Elementary School
Lydiksen Elementary School is located at Highland Oaks Drive in Pleasanton. The school was built in 1968 and caters to students from Kindergarten to the eighth grade. Every school year, the school has around 300 enrollees. Apart from focusing on the education of the children, Lydiksen Elementary school also offers campus programs that will further enhance other areas of the students’ growth. Some of the programs that they offer include the breakfast book club, the green team, GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) social club, Spanish, spectrum of science and the boy and girl scouts. The programs of the middle school are based on the California State Board of Education Standards.
Hart Middle School
Thomas S. Hart Middle School is a California Distinguished School for the year 2003. It has state-of-the-art facilities and welcoming staff that aids the students both in and out of the classroom. The school is located right in the middle of the Hacienda Business Park. Amenities of the middle school include sports fields, a 17,000-foot gymnasium, labs, computer centers and many more. Hart Middle School provides an ideal environment where students can grow educationally, emotionally and socially. Apart from the academics, the school has a character education program in accordance to the Pleasanton Community of Character program.
Foothill High School
Foothill High School is one of the two high schools in Pleasanton. It has received many recognitions including the California Distinguished School in 2004 and the National Blue Ribbon School in 2006. The school prides itself for providing excellent education and continuous improvement to the programs in order to meet the needs of their students. Every year, Foothill high school admits more than 2,300 students.
