As the city’s population grows, so does the student population at Pleasanton Middle School. The campus serves about 1100 students each school year and has as its mission providing for the needs of students as individuals. The curriculum and co-curricular programs ensure students grow academically, physically and emotionally. The challenging academic programs stand in alignment with California educational standards.
Foothill High School
Foothill High School, one of four high schools in the Pleasanton Unified School District, opened its doors in 1973. Foothill High School has received much recognition in the ensuing years, including the California Distinguished School award in 2004 and the National Blue Ribbon School for Excellence in 2006. The high school serves about 2300 students annually, with instructors committed to teaching and looking for better ways to encourage students to succeed.
