Pleasanton, a quaint city in California’s Alameda County, draws home buyers to purchase homes in one of its neighborhoods conveniently located near downtown Pleasanton and area schools. Some homes–like those in the Val Vista neighborhood–also have magnificent views of ridges, hills and valleys.

Val Vista, a project of neighborhood creator Singer Homes, developed between 1968 and 1973. Homes in the neighborhood have floor plans ranging from 1370 to 1950 square feet on lots of 6000 up to 7000 square feet.

Located West of Las Positas and Hopyard Road, the neighborhood plays host to schools such as Donlon Elementary School. Not far from the school lies lush Val Vista Park, where residents can escape to the trappings of a natural garden at this patch of nature within the confines of Val Vista’s modern housing. Not far from the park sits the soccer park, where parents can take their children for an afternoon of sports. Residents can retire in their luxurious Val Vista homes.

Apart from the picturesque ensemble Pleasanton’s rich terrain provides, Val Vista serves as home to three schools: Donlon Elementary, Hart Middle School and Foothill High School.

Donlon Elementary

Thomas Hart Middle School

Hart Middle School prides itself on its commitment to create an environment in which to hone academic and self-responsibility. The school imbues respect for others and oneself by establishing ties with parents in the community for raising children into responsible citizens of the 21st century. A California Distinguished School, the institution has state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities.

Foothill High School

Foothill High School strives to provide every venue for students to excel not just in academics but in real life. A 2001 California Distinguished Schools, Foothill High School enjoys accolades for its quality curriculum and vision. Foothill High School opened in 1973 and now has 2100 enrollees each school year. Instructors at the school help students rise up to their full potential in order for them to be ready for their lives ahead.
