The elementary school first opened in 2002, and today the school serves around 700 students in kindergarten through fifth grade each school year. Phoebe Hearst Elementary School bases its curriculum on California state and district standards, thus ensuring students get all the knowledge they need in order to get further in their education.
Pleasanton Middle School
Pleasanton Middle School believes “Kids Come First” and exemplifies this motto by cultivating children’s talents and skills through various activities in the field of the arts and sports. The school caters to residents of the East San Francisco Bay area. Each year about 1100 students enroll at the school. The academic programs the teachers prepare have their basis in state and district curriculum standards. Apart from the academic and character education, students get the chance to join different clubs and organizations in order to hone their artistic and athletic skills. Residents attribute the school’s success to the continuous collaboration among students, teachers, parents and the community as a whole.
Foothill High School
Foothill High School teaches students to be self-sufficient based on academic principles. The school’s curriculum earned it California Distinguished Schools status in 2001 and a nomination as a potential National Blue Ribbon in 2002. The high school opened in 1973 and today has around 2100 enrollees each school year. Teachers at Foothill High School dedicate themselves to helping each students reach her full potential. To provide holistic education, the school offers academic services and support groups, a multi-cultural club, sports and athletic programs. Foothill High School focuses on helping students become lifelong learners who can utilize their skills and talents to overcome challenges in the 21st century.
